LSJ + upped compression seems to equal doom. I don't know of any that have survived. Why bother?

i just read all 35 pages of this thread. and i am sold. i want one for my 2.2 supercharged. i been talkin to a friend of mine and he said i will see some nice gains with it cuz i have the zzp shorty header right now. so this long tube header will be great for my car. so is the sale still on? or are we just ordering it straight from their website? and is it possible for them to change the flange to a three bolt like the hahn and MPx 3 inch exhaust?

the metal in cats has a lower melting point than pistons typically do...

That's a good question..... I don't know the exact answer so I will look into it. My guess though....the metal substrate in the cat that all the precious metals are attached to is 409 stainless, 409 stainless melts at ~1500 degrees celcius though. I don't think these will be melting.

Yeah, but my point was that if you're melting the cat, you've got issues already haha

true your egts should not be that high unless there is another issue, like the cat is clogged with unburned fuel from running rich for a while, or like will said running waaaay lean, thats why I got the egt bung so I can watch mine =-D
