I know it's been said 26" tires aren't good for drag racing but I'll be doing a lot of rolls for the sake of my transmission so maybe they will be fine?

A radial for traction is a great idea. I would just get something that isn't 26" tall and 10.5" wide

Would it be the same thing to get the big tires and 4.45 or keep 4.05 and get smaller tires? If it would be I'd be doing less work to just get smaller tires. Or I could sell spare trans, get 4.45's put in and smaller tires. So many options

4.45 with 26" tires would still be shorter than 4.05 with the normal 24.5", and it would still be stronger. Moral of the story, get the 4.45 lol

That was an old video. I'm still waiting on my turbo manifold to get back from being milled. I'm debating on getting a new copper gasket to ensure a nice seal. Back in indy now so no progress on the car will be made for weeks.

nothing will hook unless you setup the chassis and dot radials are not street legal due to their reduced tread depth

listen you need to quit whining and worrying over traction you have not even made 600hp yet and there is no guarantee that you will make 600hp so that bee the case you need to worry about chassis setup more then tires because no matter what you put under it unless the chassis is doing its job then the tires have less of chance to work

watch the video close you may learn something from the honda

It is in the chassis and suspension as much as the tires are, true. A good 90s fbody can lose a fat second or so in the 1/4 from good suspension tweaks alone

Thanks for telling me john, good thing i hadnt decided to run mine on the street.. not that i would anyway, they will do nothing but chuck rocks everywhere

Re-route your windshield washer nozzles to the inside of your fender wells and fill the tank up with some uh dat pimp juice, and hit the sprayer while doing a stanky burnout, problem solved
