Yes, this is the best airbox mod, no cutting, and prevents water

Does anyone know why the aem cold air intake for the supercharged only is the fukin bottom part and the air filter?? and why it doesnt replace the whole stock rubber/plastic intake from were it comes out of the supercharger all the way down to the air box intake like all the other intakes ive seen??

so your saying you simply want the look of having an intake? id rather have the aem which i do personally. Metallic materials suffer from heat absorbtion, with the aem using the stock intake piping you dont have that problem as plastic does not have the heat absorbtion that aluminum ( most intake piping ) does.

I'm about to install the K&N intake that the previous owner had on the car before he traded it in. I've read in a few places that cold air intakes tend to lean out the the air/fuel ratio, which can cause detonation. Is this totally true? Wouldn't the O2 sensors be able to compensate? Any info would be greatly appreciated, cause I don't want to do any damage to the engine.

how much more do you expect to get? 1-maybe 2 horsepower? an intake is an intake is an intake. its like an exhaust. its all just piping with a different muffler on the end. most people just end up paying for the name in the end.
