B6's ride amazing imo, pretty sure they are 0.5" inches longer than OE shocks but fit like a tight glove. Perfect with the YYZ, my rear end just "floats" along for the ride
Yup I heard great things about them plus they are the recommended shock and strut that Powell Racing suggests to go with the YYZ's. I know my car is going to handle like no ones business once all the suspensions parts are installed.

It's definitely gonna handle a LOT better!

One thing to keep in mind though is I'm an FE1 car (factory lift essentially) and you're an FE3 with a factory semi lowered suspension.
So If we both used the same springs, (all struts have the same height seat) I would see a larger loss in height than your car compared to our stock heights.
That being said, you might be good with a smaller rack spacer than what I use or possibly none at all..

There are some key differences between our steering gears, It's quite likely your's is already compensating/ built to accommodate the slightly lowered suspension.
FE1 steering gears have "Turns Lock to Lock 3.625" "Rack Length (in) 47.75"
FE3/5 gears have "Turns Lock to Lock 2.875" "Rack Length (in) 47.625"

Just putting it out there, you may want to start with the smallest spacer and work your way up if you don't like the feel. It looks like an intimating job but its just two bolts, I had a tech swap them out in 10 minutes flat so It's not too too bad.

Yes that makes perfect sense my brotha and I completely forgot you are fe1 suspension compared to my fe3/fe5 suspension configuration. I might send ottp a message and see what they say. Like you said I could start with the smallest ones first and move up in size later if I need to.

Yeah I think I forgot a little too, got barely any FE1 parts left on the car now tho haha.

Yeah ask for their opinion, it may come down to a preference of opinion. I'm sure you'll find some guys use them and some who don't..

Kit came this morning brotha along with my bilsein shocks I bought from rockauto. And I noticed in the kit which was an awesome bonus zzp gave me their stage 1 zzp intercoler pump instead of the bosch one. Super excited about that because I was thinking about upgrading to that one anyway because it flows much better and helps to keep iat's lower. I'm soo excited to see where my car will be at in the next 6 months or so once suspension and this kit is all completed brotha. I'm going to love wrecking the Honda boys especially haha lol

Right on! Can’t wait to see these install pics haha!!
yeah does look like they’re selling the kits now with the better pump. I got one as well sitting at home .

still waiting on my meth adapter thingy it went B/O should be here soon. Going to be replacing my PCV hose tonight, I just used heater hose at the time and it’s starting to seep. Other than that, gonna wait till spring to add the 2nd pump/ S3HE back on.
might need a new battery, already warrantied it like 4 times lmao. Flashing your car back to back cycling the key really does a number on it haha. Couple more days, maybe a night outside and it should fail a RG8 test

Yeah speaking of battery i'm thinking mine is finally on its way out brotha. I find my steering when I drove the car today for a minute was very stiff. It did get a little better once I drove for a few minutes but still not the greatest. I also thought my power steering motor might be on its way out. Can't win with these cars bro lol. One minute I was happy as hell the next i'm pissed off lol. i',m also going to check fuses also because I don't even hear my chime anymore when I put the key in the ignition. I know something is f$$ked up

Weird.. check your intermediate steering shaft, if the joint is rusted: I'd start with a new one.
Also double check there's nothing in its way, I had a wire get caught in its rotational path once...

Did you add an aftermarket radio recently? Yeah maybe check all your ignition/ security fuses, there's about 3 PASS-LOCK fuses in you BCM wouldn't hurt to pull those.. Also confirm that the LF door speaker can at least play music out of it, it could be blown I believe 08's only play the chimes through the drivers door.

Tks my brotha. I'll definitely check my fuses for sure. Yeah I got new steering rack and steering shaft done in 2019 cost me almost 1200 bucks at a local shop as I was not trying to attempt that big of a job. I also forgot to mention i'm still on the original battery that came with the car so its probably on its way out anyway and I will most likely replace it in the spring . Did your part come yet for your meth kit?

Yeah I've seen low batteries cause all sorts of weird intermittent issues in the shop here. 10 years is a long life, probably wouldn't hurt to throw a new battery in at all..
Yikes.. that's a lot..
No.. I bought it from GTR auto in Alberta, apparently they only ship out on Wednesday and Friday. (it was the cheapest place to bring it in with shipping...) unfortunately they showed incorrect stock (it happens), they ordered more from the supplier.. I'm expecting it to ship this week, fingers crossed.

Yeah I honestly should of replaced it a few years back it just now started giving me problems the last few months so I know its way over due brotha. Yeah i'm sure you'll get it soon. Let me know how it turns out. I'm sure with Christmas rush is the reason for the slight delay. I was surprised how quick I got my stuff from zzp I figured at least another week I'd have to wait. So what type of battery for our cars do you recommend? I obviously do'n't want to get a cheap one that won't hold up.

Will do, I've never been more excited for a 30 dollar purchase haha. Can't wait!

Well factory, my car took a BA90F600AA (Manufactured by East Penn, sold as Mopar...) but That's not a common battery for a Chrysler dealer so I just shoved in a BA47F650AA haha. 50 more CCA, slightly larger, battery hold down had to be ever so slightly modified.

not sure what you'll be able to get your hands on out east there, AC Delco "90A" costs me around 110 bucks, list 121.00 CAD would be equivalent to OE.

Parts Master, "90-775" 600CC, 740 Reserve (slightly higher reserve than stock..) costs me 137.00, list around 163.00 - comes with a 5 year warranty

In my experience.. All batteries are manufactured in the same place, just different brands / dealers, get different stickers on them.

Tks brotha. Yeah i'm going to probably hit up my local CARQUEST or napa parts store and see what type of prices I can get. Defintely won't be buying directly from the dealer as I know that'll be hella expensive lol

Yes it definitely did. I'll let you know what type of prices I get. I'm going to call multiple places and hopefully get the best price possible.

Update! I can get one from my local CARQUEST for $150 minus the core charge so not too bad brotha. Probably see if I can scrape up some cash after xmas and get it or probably just wait until I know i'll be getting back on the road and driving it.

Word, yeah no sense getting a new battery If the car is sitting over winter.
Temps over here have warmed up for a minute, my battery feels a lot better, still think it'll fail though once we hit the deep freeze

Yeah I feel ya brotha, its been minus 17 with windchill the last few days and now halifax is getting about 20cm of snow between today and tomorrow. I'm definitely glad I can lay my G5 up over the winter and yes i'm probably going to wait on the battery like you said. No need to get one now if i'm not driving it. As it is I still gotta get some winter tires for my Micra lol

Happy New Year Bro. Thank God that **** show of a 2020 is over lol. Onto bigger and better in 2021 especially for our builds. You get any work done over the holidays? I ended up biting the bullet and buying a new hub assembly for the drivers side as i'm still getting the t/c and service traction message. I was out for a spin last week and she went straight into limp mode all of a sudden right on a hill in middle of nowhere. Thankfully it was during the day and I pulled over on hthe side of the road waited for about 10 minutes before starting up the car again and limped it home. I'm also going to buy a good obd2 scanner as well to see what codes come up.

You too bud! Happy new year! Thank goodness it’s over lol.
I haven’t done much lately, replaced a bad PCV hose, going to get a new belt and tensioner put on this week.
Found a questionable cell with my vss calibration cleaning up my tunes, thinking that could be why I was hitting the limiter, whoops.

That’s super weird, curious what codes you’ll see with the scan tool. Hopefully the hub fixes this it though

Yup pretty sure i'm dealing with that also . So today I checked my fuses and all my grounds. Nothing appeared blown out and nothing looked corroded. I gotta get that battery next and also dear with the hub assembly . I'm hoping one of them or both are the problem. Sometimes these cars are like a huge jigsaw puzzle lol

I feel that lol, eh but it’s a little fun right? Haha.

Yeah that’s super strange. A scan tool is really gonna help you figure this out.
Don’t think I’ve ever noticed my abs wires but have you checked yours for any sign of damage? Try pushing in the connectors maybe?

haha yes always fun my brotha lol. I'll check tomorrow brotha to see if there is any sign of wear. But honestly when the hub assembly goes there really isn't any warning. My drivers side went out of nowhere so that's why i'm about 90% percent sure its the problem. However like you said its best to check other areas of concern as well.
