I'm pulling the MAF tonight. I previously cleaned it by removing my air filter.
We're going into attack mode on this.

It's gotta be fuel
I asked our sister store nicely to borrow their pressure decay test kit so I should be able to run another test this week, here's hoping their adapter isn't buggered up too.

But like I can't see anything wrong with ECT, MAF or MAP. TPS voltage is within 0.02V of known good logs on start up. No Communication codes this morning, no freeze frames.

This will be the one on the right side of the head above the Thermostat housing

Okay so disconnect exhaust cam sensor, and it fired up perfectly fine, idled fine for a little while then started to surge.
I turned it off and back on, long crank, but turned over. I killed it again, long crank, would not fire back up. Only code p0365.
after ten minutes attempted another restart, long crank, backfire, no start.

plugged sensor back in, medium crank, fires up little stumble idle.

so I looked back on the log and the exhaust cam angle error was looking a little funky, and the sensor moved a little taking off the connector. I’ll tighten it down a little more, you think I should try a new sensor?

new sensor cant hurt, they are pretty cheep

the fact that it started when reconnected means that the hex in the cam is positioned correctly, which was a problem i ran into recently. I had to pull the cam and have the hex insert realigned and tack welded

pull and clean the VCT solenoids next, if any shavings on solenoid, replace.

we have narrowed it down to spark timing as your issue, not fuel or VATS

Will do.

Fuel pressure tester is on now regardless. 50psi prim, 60 running, 50 immediately key off. Will check again in the morning just to be safe.

1 hr later 25psi.
In the morning, 0psi. Primes 50psi, 60 running.
so I agree, although I probably should be holding more pressure, not fuel.

Car idled for 30 minutes, went to back out of my driveway and it stalled :/, restarted and drove to work. Will try to pull the solenoids over lunch, looks like GM has new ones across the street just in case.

my car has a pretty elaborate fuel system with 2 pumps, surge tank etc, and mine looses pressure at the same rate without issue, i just key on for a sec to prime it before cranking

Neat! Why two pumps, separate fuel systems or inline and pickup?

inline and pickup, 05 cars had fuel starvation issues with fuel pump canister and a huge FP intank kinda exaserbates the issue. im running 160# injectors on E85. Walbro 450 in tank, and a Bosch 044 inline pump

But I guess if the sensor doesn’t fix it, ecu eh?
And so we’ve returned to the common denominator lol
