and im not being that cheap ..i spent a good amount of money on every single piece in my setup aside from the turbo ..at this point its really more of an experiment..mayb u sould take advantage and learn something ..theyr wouldnt be turbos or engines or f***ing anything if people never experimented

props to her^^ dude if you're putting together a turbo set up that has legit parts except for the turbo itself, why not sell your ebay turbo and use that money for a legitimate turbo? i'm gonna laugh pretty hard when it busts fins and sends them through your combustion chamber.

What I find funny is you all are trolling him, which I admit i was too at first. You all seem to miss the posts where i have been running the same $150 ebay turbo for 4 years.

 

the way i've been taught to build my car is to not skimp out on things. regardless if it works for you, i'd still like the satisfaction of buying a brand name turbo if i were to do this because all of them are rated to a certain hp by tests instead of a cheap company making a cheap turbo and tell people to boost the crap out of it

 

If you want to spend 600-2000 thats fine. Good for you. I personally cant afford or bring myself to spend that, however If you properly set these up hell you can even rebuild the internals for $80 with garrett seals and bushings they do well.

 

yeah because those fins are going to go through the intercooler
