So you commented on my build thread, I'm gonna comment on yours. However yours looks like it's done! You're only 2 hours away from me, I live in Syracuse. Your car is awesome, I'd love to see it!

What air straightener did you use? I've been tempted to install one on my K&N intake for my LNF to get a solid maf reading

HoneyComb MAF Mass Air Meter Airflow Straightener- TREADSTONE PERFORMANCE

anything really works though, not sure if your K&N is 3" OD but I've seen smaller ones elsewhere also. It really helped so much I would suggest everyone get one, tuning with it became so much easier

The big thing with it tho is how you secure it. I would never trust just silicone to hold it in. I welded a bead around the inside of the chargepipe that is sits in so that no matter how hard air pushes on it, it cannot move anywhere.

Def going to have to think about how to secure it like that don't need a piece of that going into my engine

it prob wouldn't make it to your engine but it would def **** your turbo up real good

You could always just drill in 4 screws about .25-.5" long around the outside of the tube at the same distance in (like 90* 180* 270* and 360*) then let the straightener sit against them, silicone around the edge of the straightener also tho

I looked around before at the Treadstone air straightner, but short of sending them an e-mail
I could not find info on how thick this piece is exactly, do you know ? Thanks

3/4" thick for the 3" diameter one, IDK if the other ones are the same but I'm assuming they are.

I found a couple websites where you can pick thickness/core ratio so there are better ones out there, but treadstone's definitely works well and they support our platform so I'll support them.
