OFFICIAL Blown 4-banger build updates!
Well, it depends on if I can gather up the required moola. I have to do the last push, to get all the required parts. Which will most likly include maxing out both my credit cards, which I really don't like having to do, but at this point I'm desprite!
I'll be over 450 whp on spray, and nitrous is really hard on rods, so ill just stick with mine that are good to 700+
P.S. The LNF uses the same rods the LSJ does (ive seen both in person), also the LNF pistons are only good to 310 horse, just like the LSJ one. All this info came from talking to the engineers at the GM SEMA booth.

Well I guess I'm lucky huh? been putting down 350whp now with the turbo for about 2 months now, motor still holding strong... somehow lol
Got my rods in thursday, motor going into the shop next week sometime... Can't wait to get it back. Building it capable of 750whp (which of course I'm not aiming for, it's FWD anyway). but should be fun.
Cam I can't wait til you finally finish this thing. She is gonna be a little beastly yellow rocket thing lol.

Edit: I take it back, those were the hp that the rods snapped, simultaneously on both engines, both times taking out the side of the block. When the rods broke, GM just upgraded the pistons at the same time. I'll have to look around for the hp that the pistons pop at, probably not much more. I would assume the LNF pistons are good to a higher hp due to the fact that DI has equal fuel entering each cylinder, unlike the LSJ. LNF also has larger water passages, cooling the cylinders a bit better.
I need to get ahold of a stock rod and a stock piston so that I can have them made, any suggestions? Hey blown I was wondering if there was anything special you did with your rod and piston setup(wrist pin size or anything)? Can't wait for you to get this done so that I can look at my yellow cobalt and never be satisfied.....LOL

I litterally LOL'd at that
Of course! Custom carbon fibre hood, which will be painted stock yellow, and custom carbon fibre deck lid, without wing hole. So it will be wingless, theres a visual mod. and it will eventually get lowered and get some light weight wheels.
But the other way.....SLEEPER FTW
i say if money is not an issue you get Volk RE30s or if money is an issue you buy one of those sets of custom drilled rotas floatin around here
