do the gen 1's just plug in to the factory harness and are good to go or do you need a different one?

They're plug and play. All the projectors are.

All aftermarket projectors (that I know of) come with an adapter that plugs into the stock bulb connection/factory harness. This adapter just acts to split the appropriate wires to go to the low beam bulb and the high beam bulb.

Either one are a good choice, I was debating the 2nd one until I found those 4th gen, I hate all the halo and led nonsense also. Will be installing them on Friday with HIDs. They look to be a very straight forward installation. Will post pics when done...

I just got mine from Modern. See the pics in my post today under *Vendor section* for Modern, or click on my Image Icon under my name to see the pics. The one pic with the lights off exaggerates the BLACK BACKGROUND on the lights, since it's dark and the flash highlighted the black. In day light it looks much more *natural*.

I'm not sure if these exist, but are there any clear, monochrome, non-smoked, LED taillights? I think this would look alright on a black car..how is the 'smoke' coating applied? Or is it the plastic itself that is tinted?

so i got my ebay led tails and i was looking at the wiring harnes inside the trunk and noticed on the driver side there is yellow brown and black. but on passanger there is blue black and brown. blue which is the turn signal. which is what i wanna splice into for the resistor. but my question is why is there yellow on the driver? do i only need one resistor for both the driver and passanger side? or do i splice into the yellow wire on the driver

Here is my first failed attempt...

i installed my stock inners and i didnt really like how it looked with the led outer.
so i bought ebay led tails and im going to get them profesionaly tinted bc with the ipcw you really cant leave the reverse hole untinted because the template on the light is bigger than the actual reverse hole and it would look weird because you would see red if you went by the template on the light for leaving untinted.

Enjoy my smoked LED tails, the downside is the reverse lights don't seal properly, there is no lining on the bolt part like on the stock tail reverse lights, thus it doesn't seal properly, sealing it unconventionally with my brother.

what would you guys suggest for a silver car, black housing or chrome?
emblem is painted black and also getting black rims next summer if that makes any difference

I would go with black housings just to keep the theme already started (I don't like chrome on newer cars), though chrome housings look the best only on silver IMO.
