do they have halos mounted behind?
these are my retros. only thing different now is that instead of blue in the center its white. These were made by streetracinazian (biggest scammer on this site) and the blue LED demon eye stopped working after like 3 weeks.
They are color matched summit white, LED ring, blue demon eye (broken), 6000k.

i have like 5 sets of retros to build for locals, just waiting on them to get funds. cant wait to post them up
the LEDs failing arent an install problem, but more or less a design problem. it gets too hot in that area of the projector to allow proper functionality of any LED, so they will fail in time. I guarantee it
thats the reason I painted the cutoff shields instead on mine. Its failproof, easier, less wiring, legal, and can still look awesome in the right light

damn that makes me miss my pf01's......... winter be over already
^thats the risk you take any time you open headlights.. just do it and cross your fingers. worse comes to worse you buy some resealing glue from TRS and completely redo the sealant
I'm planning on doing a retrofit build on my lights that are on my car. Plan on starting early in the day and finishing them before I have to drive the car haha. Having a damn hard time deciding which shrouds to go with though...
Anybody able to tell me what setup these are? Does he mean E55 shrouds or projectors and if not what shroud is being used? I think I see a halo mounted on the front, but not 100% sure...

they shouldnt look any different. the mini's and the e55's are both 3" lenses.. and the shrouds will fit and look the same on either one.. really the only noticeable difference between the two will be your cutoff line and output (more performance than direct appearance)
Perfect thanks man. Haven't totally made up my mind yet, but this is a start. Too many to choose from haha.
The apollo shrouds might be a cool option, don't see too many guys around here with them. That or maybe the gatling 1.0.

Ok I'm kinda confused. So instead of putting in an LED for a demon eye you painted the HID bulb?
If this suggestion means anything to you heres my take on shroud choice, the bigger shrouds look better than the smaller ones in our headlights as they cover up more of the stock reflector. TRS has sizing listed in the description of each shroud. Our headlights are big enough for any shroud without trimming as well so dont worry about picking the largest one. Another additional suggestion would be to make sure you epoxy the shrouds on, or they have the possibility of falling off... had that happen on a set I did in the past, so now I epoxy everything on to avoid that happening again -__- lol
if you look above you can see what I painted red. its the parts of the projector (cutoff shield and cutoff plate) that I painted the front sides of. when looking into the projector at the correct angle you can see this red paint thats facing forwards. This doesnt change the light output or any part of the mechanical function of the lights/bulbs. just for looks

oh yeah i was gonna ask that, so looking at the headlight you see red, but the light output onto the steet is actually still white light? i'm assuming this is totally the case, just asking to raise my post count >.<
but yeah, looking at the headlight in the right light (normally has to be pretty sunny out with the car facing the sun) you can see the red at certain angles. sometimes you honestly dont notice a difference at all, and I'd bet a majority wouldnt notice at a car show unless I told them so its fairly subtle, but an awesome custom touch imo
seeing as I didnt change any of the mechanical design of the lights it still functions exactly the same as any other retrofit so my cutoff/brightness is still just as good as any
