Then why change the wheel it will do that as it sits with a better spool

The 11 blade et wheel will move more air at the same rpm as the cast 6 blade non et wheel. More power from not pushing the turbo as hard if I understand that correctly

Yes true you will be in more of the efficiencey range but it will take longer to spool and 400hp is very doable for the stock blade I would leave it stock you will have a better spool and a longer powerband. I think that ET blade is a lot of overkill for your 400hp goal

It's always nice to have more room to get more power than to stretch the stock where's limits on pump gas. That's the big factor here is pump gas

But with a 525hp capible turbo you'll hit 400 fine and then you still have the option to move up to the different wheel later if your goals change

You got it. That's why my smaller turbo moves more air than yours.

If I would have bought the GTX30r, it has the same size compressor wheel as the GT35r in the GT30r package with a faster spool time than the GT35.

Wwll Jon I know i need some parts to catch up to you anyways but with that wheel you'll have more power than me if you ever want for sure because that will flow 5 lbs/min more and with the ported head and cams it'll be a beast. i thnnk you'll show Blue a thing or 2 too if you want to tune it that way

Haha that's fine by me. There's no replacement for displacement. I wanted a fast spooling, streetable turbo set up. And that's what I built. Any more wanted power won't be in a fwd cobalt.

Ya I totally agree I love the ZFR and what it does but I don't like how it breaks transmissions so easily so I think one step bigger will spool a bit slower and hit the trans less I don't ever want to buy a fast spooling turbo just to put a boost ramp on it

My buddy went from a 2871 extremely reliable set up to a 3076 with his lsj t. He said the 2871 set up was much more fun to drive. He also tore out 3 3rd gears due to how the 3076 came on to boost.

That 3076 when I went for a few rides I found to have nothing when you got into it then once it started to spool it would hit hard and pull. That's the only guess why he kept chewin out 3rd gears. He threw in an F23 trans then blew it up like 500k later. He got fed up and bought a new Camaro haha.

As for my car it runs and I've driven it. Few little things I gotta fix I saw immediately before it's real boosted maiden voyage but all I'm really waiting on is the insane amounts of snow we have to melt.
