That would be a very considerate thing....

Sorry to dissapoint you Mark, I bought a stock replacement last night;
I was looking to get something that's GM-Warrnaty approved in-hand BEFORE the car goes back together...

regaurding lining up, my video with Dustin is proof positive that I'm ok with not being the fastest guy around (I knew he was faster than me going into it, and I had a good laugh with him when he posted the video... I wasn't laughing when the oh-so-common Trifecta-bashing ensued.)
Crap, most of the LNF car's I've installed tunes on are probably faster than me because my car is relatively stock;
There was only a (very) brief window of time where I was likely the fastest Cobalt in town - and even then I never flaunted it...
Edwin's car (by my butt dyno) is beatsly compared to my car (full bolt on's c/w tune)...

I am honestly gearing up to get the real "big bird" in the garage, and content continuing to leaving 'little bird' being my fun daily driver;
If you are faster than me, good on you - it's all in good fun

... now if someone like Rene was to show up and be a cocky sob again, then I might make at least a mediocre effort to put him in his place in one way or another;
Speaking of which, I saw a dead ringer for his car a week ago.

oh!

I lost track of why I actually came back!!

So I spent some time figuring out hte rental ('14 Cruze);
My car's faster;
My car is more comfortable;
My car's stereo is wayy better than this more "up to date" pos;
The xm on this car doesn't get 3/4 of the stations that I like - most importantly the one that I listen to day in and day out!?
But hey, at least it's not another one of these;

What a painfull couple weeks that was!!

Matt and I have been talking and I'm also sure if I asked he would go out of his way to help me out.

I can be a cocky SOB if it means you'll upgrade your car

You couldn't possibly even come close to the level that Rene was...
Just ask Mark.

I never did anything to spite him, until I finally acquiesced to running against him at Race City;
My condition was: Three runs, that way there was no excusing who was faster.
Me: my old Grand Am
Him: '07(?) Cobalt SS 2.4/5spd; that he would talk up, and tell me that he was "so fast that people thought he was turbo charged"

The first time I met him (about nine months before I bought a Cobalt btw), he was smack talking my GA, and telling me he could run 13's in the quarter mile...

Result: I beat him BAD 3/3 runs.

Afterwards, if he even got wind of me at a Cobalt event, he wouldn't show face;
One time (Mark was there), he showed up, saw me, turned around and left, with out even getting out of his car.

You're a good guy... you can't even come close.

When I get my car back, because of the way I've done it, I can actually go back to 100% stock in fifteen minutes.

Hint: CED GMS1 MAP adapters.

I bought my GMS1 probably a year or so before I installed it;
I waited to read of issues people were having with GMS1, and it turned out that 99% of the issues were the original way it was released (and the way it's sold from every dealer except CED) is the MAP sensor plugs need to be spliced into factory wiring, and most tech's didn't take due care on the lower MAP plug - as there is barely any room to work there...

I did a full record/save of my bone stock tune, and can flash it back any time I wish.

Well your others were uphill I'll back you up on that. I think you can hit a 4 on flat ground when we're all down with only 1 person in the car

i have no doubts i can do it on a flat road with your fat a$$ in the car. if you remember correctly we passed the houses before i stomped on it. but right after the house is that coolie. so i came up out of the coolie just as im hitting some what flat road before the hill i hammered the gas. if anything there was a slight bowl shape to the run. i do mean slight. lol

To me the times don't add up the first 2 were slightly uphill so you'll have a gain there but not by how much you gained on the last one.

Today on our log we'll find a nice flat spot and get your time on the finished tune. Then I'll get your numbers from the first logs to compare I do believe Taylor found you a good second overall
