07 Cobalt SS/SC Performance Question.
I suppose I'll look into it. It's just a lightly modded daily an if this helps prolong the life of the components then I'll look into it.
Also, after a 3rd time of driving the car in the rain. I've now thrown CEL's each f*cking time! So I'm just going back to the stock intake w/ a K&N filter. It's not often I do this, but Hockeyman, you seem to be right on this. I'd like NOT to have my car acting up just because of rain, an I didn't seem to notice much from the intake at all.

Duel Pass Plate
OTTP (add on) Stage 1 Heat Exchanger
*aside from other mods done already*
Not so sure about using Methanol on my daily driver as it would just add more to what I would have to check on it on a regular basis. I'm using Methanol on my S10, but that's going to be moving WAY more units of air!
So only 30k on a clutch?! Which ACT clutch setup did you use? Did you use a factory/aftermarket pressure plate, and did you use one of the puck style clutches?

You can purchase a low level indicator
If your really ****, just pop the cap and check the level. AIS methanol kits come with a trunk mounted 3 gallon tank.
Every oil change, clean the filter in the nozzle.
Very low maintenance

Put the stock intake back on with a K&N, car seems to like it way better than the other intake.

i hadn't checked my nozzle the other day since i installed the kit back in january. it was all gunked up
a little light cleaning with a rag and some throttle body cleaner pretty much cleared it out.
overall i'm loving the meth setup. granted i spend $10 a week for the meth the cooling benefits and power are 'worth it'. if i could get e85 though id rather go that route.
all pink about it

Just looked up the price, it said $270 + shipping. I paid just a hair over this for all three parts. So I'm not doing to bad. Paid 130 for pressure plate off Amazon, 140 for clutch from ACT and 70 for slave cylinder/throw out bearing from StockWiseAuto. Those were prices with shipping for a little more aggressive clutch. So not to bad, then I went ahead and spent the money on a lighter weight flywheel and just ordered some ARP bolts for the flywheel > crank.

Will this ruin any/all daily driving abilities?! I don't wan to get to extreme with it.
IF I were to do the 2.8 (where would I find a 4 bolt pulley) and what injectors (for direct replacement).
Also, what about the electronic/vacuum controlled cutout? Won't this block the access boost pressure until it's tuned for the pulley?
My clutch setup will probably only be good for up to 300whp;
ACT Lightweight Flywheel
ACT 6 puck ceramic sprung clutch
Exedy OEM style Pressure Plate
I was thinking more along the lines, if anything, a water methanol injection setup similar to my current project build. But not as much of it. So that under boost, it I can cool temps a little, as well modify timing a bit more on the tables.
But which would be the safer bet?!
A) 2.8" pulley + Larger Injectors OR B) Water Methanol Injection
Like I said, NOT looking to make a race car. Just a backup daily/weekend fun car.
ALSO!!!!!!!
There's the cooling system aspect. Whats this 2 pass cooler thing I've read about? Should I DO this to make sure I don't run into any issues!

I wasn't so sure about doing the aluminum flywheel w/ replaceable contact surface. Main reason is that I wasn't sure how good/bad the heat transfer/dissipation would be, that and I'm not going to be racing it. So I just got this one.
QUESTION; Is the extended heat exchanger worth while for a 2.9" pulley? I have a dual pass intercooler plate right now, replaced the heat exchanger pump, and am looking at OTTP's Stage 1 Heat Exchanger PN OTTP-HE-KIT. It's a little larger than ZZP's for 3/4 the price of ZZP's.
Core Dimensions;
OTTP 28" x 7" x 2 5/8"
ZZP 28" x 6.5" x 2.25"

I ordered the ACT Clutch and ACT Flywheel at the same time.

Okay so OTTP it is!
Also, about the ARP bolts. I went to the dealership here local to me. Had them print out the spec sheet on the bolts after being told $6 a bolt! Went back on here, looked around on the net an came across the above link about the ARP bolts (same thread/design) as the Toyota 2.0. I'll have to check and see if I need to do anything to make sure they clear.

A buddy of mine had clearance issues, he didn't realize it until the car was completely put back together...then everything had to be taken off again when we realized the car had no gears. $6 a bolt doesn't seem too bad now.
