Look what the post man dropped off today!

Creative packaging, or what?!!

Here's what's inside, along with my old (red) hardcore bar:

The XXX is visibly beefier than the hardcore:

And I really like the finish of the ends better than the old one:

As soon as it's installed, I'll post pics

Thanks Powell Race Shop!!!

Well Powell I have to hand it too you, I'm happy you and Matt O talked me into buying the Hardcore bar at CED. Also want to thank you a ton for throwing it on for me! Car is a totally different animal when taking turns! Let me know when you get those check valves for the PCV setup and me and Matt are gonna route the lines a little different and get that other line off the K&N. it was great finally getting a chance to meet you!

Sorry, quick questions for Mr. Powell: I'm getting conflicting information from both you and Gloria, stating that I can, and can not, use the rear LNF mount with your keyhole spacer for the F23 rotated mount. I have threads here, you telling me that I should do that, and Gloria just emailed me saying that I can't. On top of that, you PMed me and told me 150 for a set of mounts, just a couple days ago, and Gloria said they switched to $175 a while back. She also said I couldn't send in my composite mount as a core which you said I could in the same PM. I'm just trying to seek clarification here because I can't seem to get a straight answer from anybody and it's pissing me off. Thanks for your time

first of all your emails to her which I have now read confused me, so easy to see where the confusion came from. Reading your emails, at first you were asking for just a spacer to put under the rear mount. That wont work. you cant lift the rear and not drop the front to rotate the motor.

secondly, the issue of cores for the composite mount is a problem, as these mounts can break. So while it would be nice to offer a core as I talked of to you, Gloria and my machinist both agreed that I should not do that, as the risk for some unsuspecting purchaser to get a modified mount off a core that would fail prematurely is too high. I was over-ruled. It happens.

#3 GM increased the price of the composite mount, A lot. Takes too much work to make them to keep the price the same and yes, the price increase is recent.

4, the shape of this darn F23 mount makes it impossible to economically reproduce in steel or alloy. The block of alloy to make it would cost about 100 before machining .

and finally using an LNF rear mount is a very good idea you have; thats a much better mount for stability than the stock F23 or LSJ rear mounts, so you were right on with your thoughts. And no, you cant buy OEM parts from me cheaper than CED - CED is the source, his pricing is rock bottom and he is in the USA

sorry for the confusion, but think about it like this; you and gloria spent over an hour going back and forth on this, which took time that Gloria was not doing other things for customers, and in the end, you are not happy and

neither am I. sorry to say. Hope this helps.

My package was only torn on one side, but the bar was bubble-wrapped well enough that there wasn't any damage. Damn postal workers, lol. Not that UPS would have done a better job ;-)

And I didn't get any stickers...

I'm not bitter or anything, I'm just looking for some clarity as stated earlier. I would not have had to go back and forth with her if she would have told me the LNF rear mount will work with my car, like you just did. And forgive me but when two people from the same business give me conflicting information, id like to figure out whats going on before i buy their product. So the LNF rear mount will work on my car with your mounts...Awesome. Now I can go ahead and buy my parts confidently.

it helps bring the back end around more is the major difference. the xxx bar will bring it around harder and it keeps the back end a lot tighter.

I wouldn't say it improves rear end traction, it basically reduces the under steer characteristic of the car dramatically. In auto-X or on a race track, this means you can put the power down sooner coming out of turns and/or go into turns harder than you could without it.

The sway bar is most effective when you're driving on the limit of traction, which by definition you probably shouldn't be doing on the street ;-)
