lol sorry man, I wasn't going to push it yesterday, but after you hear the people in the video coming up later, you'll see why lol. first pull made 397 (dyno printed an error) and I dropped it down after that cause the car was breaking up bad, but retuned a little and got it smoother and pushed it. did get a big KR spike @5700 rpm of 6.7 when the car went to a 17.28 afr, but the fuel never recovered after that and richest it got was 12.86 up top hence the big dip in the graph.

lol but yeah I had no fuel.... if you look at the TQ curve it was above the hp line until I went lean, with fuel, it def would have gone up around 380 or so.

lol I know man, it's just fun having a rolling "battle" of the turbo balts. It gives me a goal... then when you surpass my numbers, well, ****, I'll just turn up the boost again lol.

lol I know they all got the same damn motor anyway. can easily make those things into monsters though. There are so many 9 sec DSM rolling around here, you almost trip over one daily.

Your motor is still stock IIRC. How would you know about building it? Your making 388 whp with a turbo that can make closer to 500, because your using stock head and cams

As for Paul, he's making 411 with a turbo that could make like 600!!! BUILD YOUR DAMN MOTORS ALREADY!!!!!

whats your car dyno at again.....

i'm gonna go start mine up rite quick....you?

i'll take my 425 on a stock motor and run with it, any one can pitch money at something and make power.

the challenge, and uncertainty of what will happen next brings me a good amount of excitement and joy....how far can one push things is always fun.

by the time you get your car back together, on the road, and makeing the power i'm makeing rite now i will have made my 425whp goal on sold the car.

and my SC6031RS is rated at 590hp.

the stock head will make the power i want, i have the flow numbers to prove that, the stock cam will run the ragged edge, but probably need replacement before i see that number. thats fine with me.

You mean how your car makes far less power than it could, and it could blow up at any time? I'll pass on that. I'd rather build a motor the right way, so once its back together it will take what ever I throw at it no problem. Yeah, its expensive, but you mean to tell me your not spending money on your turbo crap?

the turbo equipment pales in comparison to what building a proper motor costs.

this car has and will continue to take what ever one can throw at it. if the tune is safe the LSJ has the ability to hold the power i want to make with it, the fact that i can do so on a fairly stock engine is both a testament to how stout it is and just how much the tune factors into how the engine handles things.

its not makeing "far less power then it could" its makeing the amount it should with the supporting work, with the addition of a proper intake manifold and Intercooler set up it will once again be makeing the power it should for the given work put into it.

when she ticks my local dyno at 420-430whp range i will call the project done, the only piece left to order rite now would be a cam, and thats no more then a phone call away for me.

build your motor, have your fun, spend your money, it matters not to me.

I'm currently makeing the power that an extreme few people can clame to have made on this car all the while DD-ing to work and such, I'm proud of that, in addition to that the relatively small amount of money i've spent to get to this point only add's to my excitement and joy for the car.

i will never buy a econ-o, FWD car with the plans for a big engine build, thats a senceless waste of time and money, unless you go overboard and make it a race-only type car. i got into this car with the mind set of seeing what she could on fairly stock equipment.

by the time you reach this level i'll have made my power goal, sold the car, and moved on with new toys.

I think they are doing a service to the community by pushing their stock LSJ's . Atleast we can see the limits of what a stock motor can handle with the proper supporting mods.

Anyone can destroy a stock LSJ trying to make power,BUT..... to make over 400 hp at the wheels with a factory motor is just as much of a challange as having a built motor make 550- 600 in my opinion.
