Drivetrain: How-To: Install B&M Shiftplus
no this wont throw a code. but seriously, this CANT be good for the tranny. it might not be hurting it, but its surely not helping at all..
but damn it is nice tho, it really gives you that extra edge, being an auto sedan, i need all i can get. its funny when i beat a manual on the shift tho, they look confused cuz when it shifts from 1-2, it SHIFTS

Hey guys just wanna let you all know, I ordered mine from Auto Zone for about $46 and Advance has if for about $45 and they can both get it over night so if you factor in time and shipping it'll be cheaper just to go to one of them, then to order it online... (i got it cheaper because i work for Auto Zone

haha i finally got mine in (thanks jasonaudio!) and i can see what you mean Hack the smaller box down the line looks damn near bulletproof
you said you wer doin testing for your own stage with different sized resistor, how did you...umm"apply" your resistor?
i thinking the switch box simply changes the path of resistance, thats why thers only two wires to hook up....
would you mind posting which wire was common/stage1/stage2 ?
thanks

Hmmm...first time I've heard that, maybe you have a loose connection? Did you use the quick connects?
i would just double check to make sure the connection is solid...rotate the quick connects around a little to make sure the metal has btten through the wire sleeve all the way
yea i cheched them i disconnected them for now... i tried connecting them an disconnecting it a 2-3 times and it just does not wanna work : ( it worked gret for the first week or so... i was chirrping my tires from 1st to 2nd : ) but now...lol
Mine has been acting up lately too. Pisses me off, I HATE driving my car without the shiftplus, i seriously can't drive it, I have to pull over and mess with it til it works.
I may end up doing some soldering.

it should make a sound like a BOV...kind of a short hiss. If this is the sound your referring to, its normal. Thats the line pressure being relieved once the gear shift is made
i did too at first, but when you think about it, all the shiftplus does is increase the line pressure to much higher levels so you'll shift faster. as this increased pressure is relieved (over a shorter time as well), you'll get a hiss. the more pressure, the louder the hiss.
i just heard from a tranny specialist that the shift plus is too hard on the pump. and that that will go out. too mcuh pressure, he says the B&M is a cheap way out and really doesnt do anything for increased performance. just a headache later.
