Drivetrain: How-To: Install B&M Shiftplus
No it's not easy, I tried but I didn't want to break mine.
It's very well built, I wouldn't be surprised if it was filled with epoxy or something for the express purpose of hampering reverse-engineering.

i installed mine today and i was hoping it would bark tires like my friends cavi but it didnt. however it does shift very firmly. still happy with it and maybe once i get more mods done it will wake it up even more
i actually a 2.2 base g5 but same car its bone stock besides the shift+ i watched those vids of your car and it barked tires with the stage 2 on and mine just kinda shifts hard and i dont hear or feel the tires tryin to give loose
Actually, you're right. I took mine apart because I wanted to relocate the switch. It took me about 45 minutes to break down the casing because it is pretty much just covered in epoxy. The big casing where the switch is actually contains nothing but the switch soldered to three wires. It looks like the IC or resistor doing the actual modification is farther down the wire in the small plastic casing.

Yea I had to!
It was a pain in the ass. I pretty much used wire cutters and shaved it down to nothing. It took almost an hour. Under the epoxy is nothing but the three-pole switch. I noticed on the other side of the second box that was actually plastic futher down the wire that the wire got smaller so I'm positive that all of the controlling is in that part.

Well when I first put mine on I only had an intake and when I did the test that's all I had in the videos. But I will try and get a few more videos with all my other mods on....lately it hasn't because of the Ingalls but on a shitty road not flat damn they chirp.
I remember reading somewhere (I think in the instructions) that the control box (in-line) is supposed to get hot, but I kept an eye on it and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary... *shrug*
Correct this helps reduce the transmission temps because it shifts quicker lowering the clutch plates slipping inside the transmission.
Uh....no, I usualy turn it on stage 2 long enough for it to kick in the turn it back off so not sure if I've even had it ok when the car turned off but could be wrong...there also could be a problem with your sensor/soliniod in the shifter itself, I had a problem with mine after only 6k miles on the SS and they replaced it for free and no problems since.
