13mm is a little on the soft side. Perfect for daily drivers! If you want to limit wheel hop set it at 10mm. Just make sure you do it off the car.

If I install the ingalls will I still need bushings to get rid of the wheel hop? Or will this get it done and not create too much vibration?

I only installed the stiffy, wheel hop is gone. Clutch is now slipping bad.

the vibrations are totally fine, nothing as bad as you might think. makes it feel like a race car though.

most noteable vibes are while reversing out of a driveway.

Would the torque dampner have any affect on an automatic because I will probably get one if it'll help at least a little.

Clutch Question

Dave, you're commenting on your clutch a lot now...
How many miles are on your car and do you feel this damper has chewed up your clutch a bit more?

Thanks!

WOW! It's a bit soon for that clutch to be slipping. Have you taken it in to a dealer yet? If so what did they say about it.

I have 2700 miles on the car now
I do feel that the dampener shows the weekness of the stock clutch, I feel that the rocking motion of the factory motor mounts allows the factory clutch enough time to "seat" into position where with the Dampener the clutch needs to engage on it's own and I feel the factory clutch is just garbage, I also would like to know if it;s the same p/n: clutch that goes onto the non-supercharged cobalt ss.

I don't feel the dampener was a bad thing to get as it really tightens up thios car quite nicely. just need to flesh out the weakneeses of the other sub - par factory parts.

I don't think you're alone with feeling like the factory clutch needs to be beefed up in the future and that we as tuners need to upgrade our clutches or see if GM has something to help with this. I hear of folks out there bone stock that have clutch issuess, slipping, won't engage, slips at high rpm ect..

Sounds like the product performs as advertised.

^^^ It would benifit the auto in some of the ways it does with the manual. The issue is with an auto it becomes more of a task to get wheel hop or wicked engine movement. But with the power the cobalt puts out I can see this part working on an auto with great results as well.

Deff. order one. I installed mine today. It rocks, I can launch much harder now. As for where to get it, I think you should search in the vender area. Best price I have seen was around 159.99.

12mm to 10mm is the most common on the Cobalt platform.

With the Ingalls Stiffy and some seat time at your local strip you can have one hell of a drag strip threat.
