A base model C6 is a drivers race for a C5 Z06 with a slight advantage to the Z06. The Z51 is a straight out equal match for the C5 Z06 and can match it's braking and handling.

Nah, they handle it. The only thing that went on my last LSJ with a 200 shot was the stock clutch. Then I changed it and had no problems afterward.

Going to have to agree and call driver mod on that one too... can't really see a 450rwhp vette keeping pace (or barely losing) with a 600+rwhp Cobra. Not car for car. There's no amount of weight/gearing/areodynamic arguments you could make to make up for such a drastic difference in horsepower... and they will easily run 10's with a KB S/C swap. And trap much higher than that vette. Plus factor in that once you start cutting full seconds off your time beyond 12's it's a huge variance. 11.9 to 10.9 is not "barely losing".

Now i'm not saying your buddy didn't keep up, but it should only be because of the driver factor. Either that or it wasn't a 600hp Cobra.

You obviously took that vette, but I couldn't see you staying near a KB Cobra.

This isn't the first LSJ I have run that big of a shot through. My last one had a mere 2,500 miles on it before I started to spray. Started with a 75 shot and made it to a 200 shot by the time I traded her in with 15,000 miles on it. The only thing inside the drivetrain I ever had to change was the clutch. This one is the same way and I bought it with 26,500 miles on it and have about 29,500 now. But it's being torn down for the rebuild. Check my other thread I posted a few days ago.
