The ls4 has very small gains. It’s more to make the throttle respond better. Dyno graphs I’ve seen the gain was under 10 with the m62

So what if you have ported blower plus ls4 tb or ported lsj tb? You think maybe 15 to 20whp in the low to midrange?

Yeah you'd see the best gain with a ported blower, no spacer and LS4.

Atta Boi! Good choice!
I've been really hemming and hawing lately on attempting a port myself. I also really want to port the head and that of course will open a can of never ending worms lol.

Tks brotha. Yeah I figure try and get as much out of my setup as I can, And yes very true modding vehicles is an addiction and a problem lol. Its never enuff and you always want more lol.

Major setback happened this week brotha. My furnace decided to take a dump and had a pipe burst also. 2 days of fixing that **** plus had to take a day off without pay. Cost me almost 900 dollars in repairs. I was going to try ad wrap up my suspension build and buy those Powell trailing bushings and a few other last things I needed. Wont happen now because of this crap. This is why owning a house is sooo much fun lol. I'm sure you can sense my sarcasm brotha FML lol. And of course I try to explain this to my baby's Mother and she don't give a f##k and wants all of the child support so basically I'll be living off of KD the rest of this month brotha. I need to find an old Sugar Momma Asap brotha lol

I squared my rear beam two days ago in the garage, went from LR +38 degrees toe in, RR 0 degrees to: 16 and 16. Not bad for eyeballing it.. Dusting off the laptop now, hopefully get some good data, figure some stuff out and then change something else that'll throw a spin into things.

Yes and sadly my brotha I still have another problem because another valve in my furnace is leaking so now I gotta replace that as well. Thankfully its not as bad as the busted pipe but still yet another expense I can't afford right now and yeah car stuff is completely on hold until this problem in my house is finally resolved. The only positive is I caught it now before it got worse. The furnace guy is coming on Monday to fix it. I'm going to get my mother to be at my house because I can't afford to lose any more pay from my job. Adult life really sucks sometimes brotha lol. Oh well at least summer is coming and I will have my damn car fixed up and going to be enjoying it one way or another.

That really sucks bro sorry to hear that. Is it a gas furnace? Like a water pipe burst or a gas-line burst?

Yeah once I get the rest of the parts on my car I will get a full alignment. I never tried doing it myself I figure I would mess something up and my toe and camber be way out of whack lol.

rear was actually pretty easy. If you loosen the 6 bolts while the car is on the ground. Jack it up, leave wheels and shocks on, give the wheels a good push and pull and there’s like half an inch of play in an out.
went from left to right like 8 times finding the perfect middle. Tighten the 6 bolts with the car in the air and torque to spec on the ground. 75 ft lbs plus 90 degrees I think it was...

i also tried the front but I did more harm than good lol.

well I'm an idiot, was just tinkering around this afternoon, did my semi annual air filter cleaning, cleaned the engine bay, removed a redundant purge solenoid bracket, cut/ re attached some wiring to make things look pretty, decided to take off my strut brace to get at some crap in the back, snapped a strut mount stud reattaching it
Gonna mark the camber bolt see If i can get it back in properly. then I ought to stop meddling with the car either go big or just leave the poor thing alone

Yeah I know that feeling my brotha lol. Oh and I understand now what you mean with that LS4 tb. I compared it to my LSJ tb and the LS4 is significantly bigger than the lsj one lol. Like you can put the whole lsj opening into the ls4 lol. So do you think its still worth it to put the ls4 tb on with the 3.1 pulley? or should I just wait and get a 2.9 pulley and throw it on then and in the meantime just rock the stock lsj tb? I'm also going to be getting a 3 inch zzp cold air intake as well to match the flow all the way through with the ported blower.

Might as well slap it on with the 3.1, start getting use to it and getting the car to play nice

Fixed my strut mount in about an hour. But my luck had to kick in and the rear control arm bolt snapped torquing to spec. Ha.

Yup sounds good my brotha. i'm going to clean it though with tb cleaner before I install it. The one I got from the junk yard is filthy. I'm assuming since it didn't come with any tb bolts that my lsj bolts will work fine correct?

F$$K! I would try kents or payzants you might find the right size bolt. I remember when one my cage nuts snapped when I had to drop the subframe. I was soo pissed!

I’ll be calling our sister gm store tomorrow, see what the stock situation is. I think I got lucky the nut seems to be free vertically but wasn’t spinning. Removed the control arm, reached around nearly dislocating my wrist, spun the bolt back out from the top as far as I could. It wasn’t enough.. spent a little while turning it slowly from the bottom and finally it protruded from the frame and was able to grasp and remove.
not how I wanted to spend my weekend. Was a little worried there for a moment and tbh was no confident In myself but I just said duck it and went for it
