Light output of the 3rd gens with just halogen H1 bulbs is horrible. The reflector high beams are fine, but the projectors are dangerously bad. I ordered HID's at the same time so they should be here any day now... I don't recommend anyone put these on your car until you have HID's for the projectors.

i found some that are dot and sae approved, uses the same cover as the stock one, the sonar brand was neither approved and use a subpar material that oxidizes in from the uv. They cracked from the inside. Garbage, think im going to go with a retro fit, i have some killa ideas.
Ur retros look good.

Thanks. Retros are the way to go. I'm gonna be making a new set with TL projectors over the winter. The g1s I have are easy to install, but the light output is nowhere near a set of TLs or fx-r.

Retros are so ugly though with the random bowl sitting around the projector. If I can make FX-R's fit into 3rd gens, that is the ultimate solution as far as I'm concerned.

I was going to use a lightly tinted piece of plexi and fit it into the opening thus hiding the ugly look and giving it a smooth clean look, some other ideas too but iim off to work no time to ramble.

Umm why do they cost $300? For less than the cost of those headlights I got my 3rd gens AND HID's from 3bspec... shipped to Canada too.

I like them. Every generation looks just as good as the next to me, it's all personal preference

I was being sarcastic. If you want them get them, just be sure to get hids with them. I used to have them myself.

No these are aftermarket headlights. Retrofits are individual projectors that go into the stock housing.

You can get them much cheaper, like ebay, which is the best place to buy them really. You're getting the same product just at a cheaper price.
