just warning you, if the d5100 has the same microphone that my d5000 has in it, you're gonna be needing that microphone port.

Feels pretty nice in the hands, definitely. Solid piece of hardware.

Let's see how much that 5200 will cost when it reaches the states. No way I could afford anyhow, if I waited.

the t3i has unbelievably exceptional outdoor video skills. And I'm not being bias here, because I don't even use the video feature (much).

Can tell you now, on entry-level cameras, Canon and Nikon are basically equivalent, very little differences between them. However I will say that I have always though Canons take cleaner photographs (ISO grain wise) than Nikons. That being an ISO 400 Canon will be less grainy than an ISO 400 Nikon.

lol i saw a t4i in a flyer today and said that's a decent camera... no word of a lie a group of asians walked up and said ... "naw that thing is so last year" haha
i always though asian tourists with fancy cameras was just a stereotype... i was wrong. haha
