No one knows, ebristol said I should try it first but I don't feel like messing with it since I will be going bigger down the road. Rev limiter will be 72000

Got it, I guess that 2.6 might push you past the RSFS limits. I hope mine can rev to at least 7400 or 7500 to take advantage of the vavlesprings without running out of fuel lol.

I want to do e water pump and a lot of other stuff, but I keep telling myself to stop because I want it to still be a decently reliable daily driver

I know it can be reliable. I'm just paranoid because I'll be moving to Indianapolis next year and won't have a garage and limited tools

Cant wait to see it running. I would say to see it on a dyno, but then we would get a bunch of idiots posting dynos dont matter. Numbers dont matter, but they do. Great job with the build, I sure you are going to love your car.

New style = Oil pressure driven. There is no spring to my knowledge. I could slide mine in and out before I installed it. After I primed the motor all the slack was gone.

Its easy enough though. Pull your plugs, fuel pump relay and unplug your harness so there is no spark, punch the gas and turn over the car about 20 times.

i think he just confused the old tensioner with the new one.

First time i built my head I did snap it into place by tapping on the guide and getting a click, then the oil pressure comes in after there is tension on the guide initially.

The new one just seems to be a hydraulic piston and retains pressure via a larger oiling hole and relief in the threads. I didnt have to snap that one, its just as easy as bolting on. Then starting the car to get oil pressure built up. I had horrible chain noise until I ugraded to the newer (prettier ) one. I posted a pic of the two earlier.
