I cleaned my TB yesterday, and after many attempts to get the ****ing thing to relearn (yes, went through the threads already), I am now forced to take it to the stealership to have the ***** reprogrammed.

I want to punch a puppy.

Before anybody asks:

-Battery disconnect
-Removed TB
-Barely touched butterfly plate
-I did spray the bejezus out of it, let it dry
-It was black when I started, now it looks brand new
-Made sure everything was plugged back in, like I never touched it.
-Already flipped a table in anger

 

As much as I would have liked to, no. Am short on funds and just need a motor that doesn't make milkshakes. The plan is to pull the old motor apart and figure out what is still good. Then I can figure out where to go with it from there.

I had cleaned my TB at least once without knowing you shouldn't touch the throttle plate... luckily everything worked properly.
Now I throw a brick on the gas pedal when cleaning it.

 

Well, no codes, but a camshaft senor might have been the cause as the wires (2 out of 3) were broken (nowhere near where I was), funny enough.

The GM tech said the TB and the vacuum lines were good. Still ended up being $300.

I would've done that if it wasnt so black from carbon. It needed to be removed and completely cleaned. It did revenge as the plate did take a small chunk of my knuckle with it

Removed the heated seat pads from my stock SS/SC leathers outta the Recaros.

I now know why they didn't include the heated seat pad with these seats. You can't get the seat fabric to seat down in the creases of the seat foam perfectly.

I had it pretty good, but never looked perfect. The heated seats were nice, but perfect looking Recaros are even better, Lol.

 

Good job! Heated seats are for pussies. Just like AC

 

 

It's not to bad without ac at times

 

I rarely ever use AC. Idles like poopy with it on anyways (2007 problems and cams).

 

I use mine lol 108 isn't to nice haha but at times I just roll down my windows specially when going thru the mountain Temps go high pretty fast

 

Haha those kind of temps are unheard of here in PA. We do get swamp ass humidity though.

On those days, I will use the AC on the highway.

I need to but have been too busy. Tried one of those recharge things but it won't take any refrigerant. I know it's low on refrigerant because the low ac pressure code is set

 

Could be a wiring issue jesse

Lol nope. It's never been recharged ever. The can of refrigerant is still completely full

 

Did it stop working suddenly?

 

I know i wanna fix my ac..
I recover, vac, and recharge, works great for a few days, than slowly back to crap.
Got a leak somewhere but i havnt been able to find it...
Im scared its my evaporator.. I dont wanna pull my dash... Its still nice and unblemished...

 

When I did my AC compressor swap for LSJ belt routing one of the quick connect fittings on the AC line didn't seal up immediately and I popped the coupler on and off a few more times to finally get it to seat right. I'm sure you have probably checked but that is something to be aware of. You could probably take some soap or something and wipe it across the fitting and see if it blows a bubble.

 

Are you sure the shredder valves aren't leaking? I think that's how you spell it haha
