Ok we were discussing last night (at like 1:30 am) what to do here... the dyno place requires a deposit to rent it for the day, so they would need some money upfront.
Ideas that were thrown around last night:
1) do an install day friday (btw the hrs of 12pm-10pm)
(must make an appointment at least 1 week in advance for this)
2) meet at mustang magic saturday morning around 8-9 am
3) break for lunch (10 a per pizza, soda, possible BBQ etc)
4) meet at Ruby Tuesdays with all NY cobalts
5) possible track meet and atco or englishtown on sunday to see what these bad-boys can do.
We would probably need a deposit of at least $75 dollers per person with a maximum of 12 people for the day.
We were discussing dates and with their show schedule we probably won't get to do this until after winter (gives you guys some time to amass parts and or cash for parts).
prices on tunes have not been finalized yet, but its definatly going to be reasonable. Also there are plenty of local hotels that are pretty cheap for the out of staters that want to come down to join us.
I will provide more info once this is discussed more... just need some people that would definatly want to do this. Just add you name to the list.

I'm all over that CA 2.8 with a tune. My full exhaust will be bolted on by then.

Yeah man I think I might just come down to get that 2.8 and tune earlier than this meet because I will have the GMPP manifold, CA DP and GM cat back bolted up around the the 30th of this month. I will call them if I come in early. :twothumbs

hey im definately interested in doin this... especially after winter ill have recouped some $$$ and wont be stock performance-wise anymore. DEFINATELY keep working on this and let us know the details.

Well if the dealer won't do It I have most of the parts I need to fix it.... just not looking forward to tearing my new car completely apart... but if I have to do it myself... fuck I'm going full race.. send my tranny to my race tranny guy have it beefed up... get some stronger axles made up and hopefully the c/a 6-puck clutch is ready by then... also pop in the fidanza flywheel and I should be good to go.... then.... hello turbo.

They have it pretty often. Some of the cobalt kids came to the last one. (mikekoz and memphisr24) It was definitely a fun time.

I'm down for this for sure but, Pampena in Ronkonkoma has cheaper dyno rates. Maybe check them outfor the Dyno Day. I did one there last year with the Long Island F-Body Association. $60 for three pulls with wideband.
